THE CHALLENGE OF GRINDING LENSES FOR SINGLE LENS

Zoom Ring Problem Nikon 24-70 mm Nikkor lens

It has affected how much I love this lens though and consequently my favourite lens is the 14-24 because it's flawless, even though the 24-70 is more useful. Yeah after having read this thread I have noticed a slight softish grinding sensation from 30-50mm on the way up and from 35-24mm on the way down, and a stiffness from 50-70mm especially on the way up.

3D Printing and CNCing Weird Freeform Lenses : 8 Steps

Plano-Convex Lenses. Plano-Convex lenses are flat on one side and outwardly curved on the other. They are easier to make, as we can just have one side of our material remain flat, which makes sanding and polishing much easier.
